The increasing prevalence of cardiovascular diseases has increased the importance and use of artificial blood vessels. These vessels, which contain different sizes, thicknesses, and properties according to production conditions, exhibit natural mechanical behavior. Sutures of various thicknesses in the form of simulated/artificial blood vessels are a product of microsurgery laboratory training and are also included in medical first aid equipment in the laboratory. About Silicone Vascular Use
During anastomosis, hemostatic clips and clamps, approximators that will be used can be placed on silicone artificial vessels that simulate reality as medical first aid equipment. As a common medical procedure for treatment, clogged or narrowed arteries should be replaced with new ones. The first choice here is usually autograft transplantation, which involves transferring a vessel obtained from the patient's own body to the area where the disease is generally present. However, if the patient does not have a blood vessel of sufficient quality due to previous operations or old age, artificial grafts are used to replace the vessels. Our vascular surgery training practicality and training sets are produced for this purpose and provide a realistic surgical feel.
In addition to cardiovascular surgery, its use is common in nerve and general surgery. In cases of abdominal artery occlusion and aortic disease, simulated (artificial) vessels/grafts are used.
